Requesting a Permanent License
Cisco Element Manager logical licensing is enabled and controlled according to the host name and host identifier of the Sun hardware it is installed on as a management server. Upon initial installation, the software runs on a temporary 30-day license. Customers ordering EMS-12K-3.1-KIT with managed node licenses can download permanent Cisco Element Manager licenses via Cisco.com using a Product Authorization Key (PAK) shipped with the Access Router Manager package by following the steps below.
Up to 50 concurrent users can be supported by installing at least one presentation server (client) system for every 10-user sessions (the client software required is included in EMS-12K-3.1-KIT, and it does not require any additional licensing)
Customers ordering EMS-12K-KIT-D may evaluate the Cisco 12000/10720 Router Manager for 30 days free of charge.
