This document contains frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the Cisco Collaboration Server, versions 4.0 and 5.0.

Q. Why do I see the same web page layout when I log in after making configuration changes to Cisco Collaboration Server?



A. The page is probably stored in your browser cache. Clear the cache and cookies on your browser and then reload the page.



A. If you are using Netscape,

  1. Close all open Netscape windows.
  2. Open Windows Explorer.
  3. Navigate to Program Files\Netscape\Users\your username folder.
  4. Delete the cookies.txt file.
  5. Delete all files in the Cache folder.
  6. Restart Netscape, and load the web page.



A. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0,

  1. Select Tools > Internet Options.
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. Click Settings > View Files.
  4. Highlight all the files in the window and delete.
  5. Refresh the window.

Q. Why do I see the same web page layout when I log in or receive error messages after making changes to jhtml files on the Cisco Collaboration Server?



A. You may need to clear the Cisco Collaboration Server server directory where the jhtml code is temporarily stored. Delete all the folders in the WebLine\PageCompile folder that begin with an underscore.

Q. How do I log an agent out of the system?



A. To log out an agent,

  1. Start the admin utility at http://machine name/admin.
  2. Click Agents > Monitor.
  3. Choose the radio button next to the desired agent.
  4. Click Advanced > Logout.

Q. Which browsers are supported by Cisco Collaboration Server?



A. Check the Cisco Web Collaboration Option version 5.0 Browser Support Product for 5.0 or for version 4.0, refer to the Collaboration Server 4.0 Browser Support.

Q. How can I clear certificates from the caller's browser?



A. To remove accepted certificates from the caller's browser, follow these steps for Netscape or Microsoft Internet Explorer.

A. If you are using Netscape,

  1. Select Communicator > Tools > Security Info.
  2. Click the Java/JavaScript link on the left.
  3. Highlight WebLine Communications Corporation on the right.
  4. Click Remove.
  5. Click OK.

A. If you are using Internet Explorer,

  1. Select Tools > Internet Options.
  2. Click the Contents tab.
  3. Click the Publishers button.
  4. Highlight WebLine Communications Corporation in the list.
  5. Click Remove.
  6. Click OK.

Q. What version of Cisco Collaboration Server am I running?



A. Check the version by running the version applet at http://machine name/version.
