Installing Nuance ASR and TTS

ASR allows callers to speak words or phrases in order to choose menu options. When, for example, a caller dials into an Automated Attendant, receives a welcome message, and is asked for the name of the person called, the caller can say a name and then be connected to that person.
Text-to-Speech or TTS converts plain text (UNICODE) into speech. Common TTS users are prompting a caller to respond and reading back an e-mail message. When, for example, a caller dials in to access a voice portal, the caller can hear the latest weather report, stock quotes, or the text of e-mail messages.
Step 1 Insert the Nuance ASR System Installation CD-ROM.
Step 2 Click Next.
Step 3 In the Product License Path field, enter the path to the folder that contains the license files, or click Browse to locate the folder.
Step 4 Enter the keys for the products you want to install, and then click Next.
The Cisco Installation Wizard dialog box appears. This dialog box displays a list of products you can install, as shown in Figure 5-1.

Step 5 Click Yes to confirm your selections.
The Speech Server Configuration pane of the Nuance Installation Wizard appears, as shown in Figure 5-2.

Step 7 Click Next.
The ASR Language Selection pane appears, as shown in Figure 5-3.

Step 8 To specify which languages to install, select a language group in the Language Group list box, and then choose one or more of the corresponding languages in the language field to the right of the Language Group text field.
Step 9 Click Next.
The TTS Language Selection pane appears, as shown in Figure 5-4.

Step 10 To specify which languages to install, select a language groups in the Language Group list box, and then choose one or more of the corresponding languages in the language field to the right of the Language Group text field.
Step 11 Click Next.
The Ready to Install Nuance pane appears, as shown in Figure 5-5.

Step 12 Click Next to begin the installation.
Step 13 Enter a new SQL Administrator Password, or leave the field blank, and then click OK.
Step 14 When prompted to reboot, click Yes.
