CE-DNS-1-221000: HTTP DNS cache out of memory
|
The internal HTTP DNS resolution cache service runs out of
memory. |
The HTTP DNS resolution module tries to recover. However, such
a problem is symptomatic of a system-wide memory shortfall. Restart the
machine. If you frequently see this message, contact
Cisco
Technical Support. |
|
CE-DNS-2-221001: HTTP DNS cache has no
configured nameservers to query
|
The internal HTTP DNS resolution cache service has no
configured DNS nameservers to send queries to. As a result, it is unable to do
its job. Many services are disrupted. |
Configure DNS nameservers in the CLI. |
|
CE-DNS-2-221002: HTTP DNS cache has detected an
inconsistent internal state
|
The internal HTTP DNS resolution cache service has detected an
inconsistent internal state. Such an instance is indicative of memory
corruption of some kind. Whether the corruption is hardware or software is
unknown until further investigation is undertaken. |
The HTTP DNS resolution service causes the entire proxy caching
application to exit and restart. If you frequently see this message, contact
Cisco
Technical Support. |
|
CE-DNS-2-221003: HTTP DNS cache unable to open a
UDP socket to send queries on
|
The internal HTTP DNS resolution cache service is unable to
open an ephemeral UDP socket to send DNS requests to any of the configured DNS
servers. |
The HTTP DNS resolution module tries to recover. However, such
a problem is symptomatic of a system-wide network resource shortfall. Restart
the machine. If you see this message often, contact
Cisco
Technical Support. |
|
CE-DNS-6-221004: Periodic HTTP DNS statistics
report
|
Every ten seconds, a LOG_INFO
priority message is sent to the syslog process. It lists the average number of
milliseconds taken to resolve a request, the number of requests resolved, and
the number of times that the DNS service retries requests due to a configured
DNS server not responding. |
No action is required. |
|
CE-DNS-5-221005: Persistent write failure on
ephemeral DNS server query socket
|
The HTTP caching DNS service sends resolution requests that it
fails to satisfy from its cache to a configured upstream DNS server through an
ephemeral UDP socket. If the service is unable to write to the socket for
longer than 30 seconds, it shuts down the socket and attempts to open another.
This is perhaps indicative of a greater system-wide networking subsystem
problem. |
No action is required. The cache process attempts to recover
automatically |
|
CE-DNS-2-221006: Unable to perform data server
operations
|
The system DNS cache needs to be able to get the configuration
and changes to the configuration from the data server. This message indicates
that it fails to do that and hence is not able to run. This can be indicative
of a major system problem if it is persistent. |
No action is required. The cache process restarts in an attempt
to recover. If it is persistent, a reboot of the system is probably required.
|
|
CE-DNS-4-221007: DNS has not been able to PIN
the entries [name] requested
|
The system DNS cache allows users to configure static entries
in the DNS cache. The cache is unable to set this entry. |
Remove and add the entry in the configuration again.
|
|
CE-DNS-2-221008: DNS is not able to listen on
address [address] port [port]
|
The system DNS cache attempts to open a port on which to listen
for requests. It fails . This can be a system wide resource issue or possibly a
conflict with another running application. If this occurs on the loopback
address, it is a sign that the system is in a indeterminate state.
|
Change the listen parameters in the configuartion. If this
occurs on the loopback address, a reboot is probably required. |
|
CE-DS-3-230300: Unexpected msg type, ds client

Data server client sees an unexpected message type in response
from the data server. This means that the communication between data server and

Client process needs to recover. If not, restart the system
|
|
CE-DS-3-230301: Client read error
