Cisco MGX 8800 Route Processor Module FDDI
Back Cards
Overview
Cisco Systems announces the end of life (EoL) of all
FDDI back cards for the RPM/A and RPM/B for the Cisco MGXÔ 8200 and Cisco MGX 8800 Series listed in
Table 1. The FDDI card is not supported on any RPM-PR.
There are no replacement cards. These cards are being categorized as EoL due to low demand.

Future software releases will continue to support
the above listed cards on RPM/A and RPM/B models until December 31, 2001.
Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) support for products
listed in Table 1 will be provided until May of 2003.
Cisco MGX 8800 Software Release 1.1.11 and Cisco IOS
12.0(7)T are the minimum requirements for the FDDI back cards. Cisco WAN
Manager support for this card begins with Cisco WAN Manager 9.2.05.
