Table of ContentsASP Cable and Port PinoutsASP Cable and Port PinoutsThis appendix lists the pinouts for the Ethernet cable connector and the ports on the ATM Switch Processor (ASP), and includes the following sections: Note Pins not listed are not connected. Ethernet Cable Connector PinoutsThe Ethernet port on the ASP is an RJ-45 receptacle. Table C-1 lists the Ethernet cable connector pinouts. Table C-1: Ethernet Cable Connector (RJ-45) Pinouts
Auxiliary Port PinoutsThe auxiliary port on the ASP is an EIA/TIA-232 DTE, DB-25 plug to which you can attach a channel service unit/data service unit (CSU/DSU), or other equipment, to access the switch from the network. Table C-2 lists the auxiliary port pinouts. Table C-2: Auxiliary Port (DB-25) Pinouts
Console Port PinoutsThe console port on the ASP is an Electronic Industries Association/Telecommunications Industry Association (EIA/TIA)-232, data communications equipment (DCE), DB-25 receptacle. Both data set ready (DSR) and data carrier detect (DCD) are active when the system is running. The Request To Send (RTS) signal tracks the state of the Clear To Send (CTS) input. The console port does not support modem control or hardware flow control. The console port requires a straight-through EIA/TIA-232 cable. Table C-3 lists the console port pinouts.
