FastHub 100, 200, and 300 Series End-of-Life

With the introduction of the all-new FastHub® 400 series, Cisco Systems will no longer offer the older FastHub Fast Ethernet repeaters. The introduction of the new FastHub 400 series products has created an entire family of autosensing Fast Ethernet repeaters—and at lower price points than the older FastHub models. The new product line offers an entire range of stackable, manageable hubs with switched uplink options. Higher functionality and lower prices for the FastHub 400 series renders the older product series unnecessary. This bulletin signals the end-of-sales for these older, less-competitive models. The following is a summary of the obsolete products and their replacements:

For customers seeking a managed Fast Ethernet solution, order either the WS-C412M or WS-C424M. Management is embedded within these devices and does not require the purchase of an additional management module. These managed hubs can be used as standalone devices or to manage a stack of manageable repeaters (WS-C412 or WS-C424).

Customers who want to bridge to other repeaters or switches or want to create a long-distance link to the network core over fiber can use either of the two switch modules, which come in either copper or fiber.
