This document provides information on how to view a truncated log on the Cisco Content Services Switch (CSS) 11000 and CSS 11500 series switches.
There are no specific requirements for this document.
The information in this document is based on these software and hardware versions:
Any CSS 11000 or CSS 11500 series switch
Any Cisco WebNS software release
The information in this document was created from the devices in a specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with a cleared (default) configuration. If your network is live, make sure that you understand the potential impact of any command.

Occasionally, when you attempt to view a very large log, you get a message that indicates that the log is truncated. This message means that the information that you requested is too large for the switch display buffer. In order to be able to view the truncated log, perform one of these two tasks:
Press the Esc and M keys at the same time.
The message [MORE is OFF] displays. Now when you try to view the log, the log scrolls down to the end so that the switch does not need to buffer the information. All the data now display, and you can easily see the most recent messages.
Note: In order to turn this function back on, press Esc and M again. The message [MORE is ON] displays.
In the case of large files, or if you need to provide a log file to Cisco Technical Support in order to troubleshoot, complete these steps:
Use FTP to access the switch, and change to the Log directory.
Download the appropriate log file from the switch.
Note: The CSS FTP server supports only active FTP. The server does not support passive FTP.
