Introduction
This document describes how to recover a lost Offline Diagnostic Monitor (OFFDM) password. The procedure in this document is based on Version 3 of the Arrowpoint Distribution Image (ADI) Revision 2 and later. Refer to the ODM password recovery on CSS 11500 for more information.

Step-by-Step Procedure
Complete these steps to recover your password.

Power on the unit.

When you see Running POST Diagnostics, press ESC immediately.

Issue these commands:
m ext <cr> list <cr>

Look for the test number to the right of the NVRAM Clear test field. Issue this command:
run 30 <cr>
This output appears:

Issue the reboot <cr> command to reboot the system. Answer y to the Are you sure (y/n)? question.

The unit fails the Reading configuration records check, and enters OFFDM (for example, Reading configuration records....FAILED).

Type 1 to enter the Set Boot Configuration menu.

Type 1 to set the Primary Boot Configuration. Enter these items.
Configuration PRIMARY Boot Record Boot via [F]tp,[D]isk, or [N]one: [N] d <cr> ap0206010 Enter the boot image filename: [] ap0206010 <cr> Press "Enter" to continue... <cr>

Type 3 to set the BOOTP, IP Address, and Subnet Mask. This output appears:

Type r to return to the main OFFDM menu.

Type 4 followed by y to reboot the unit. This output appears:
