RVS4000 Firmware v1.3.1.0 Release Note 12/12/2009

Changes:

1. Fixed the issue that the Delete button in the Status>Local Network page does
   not work.
2. Fixed a poor resolution issue with Web GUI's left navigation pane when using
   Firefox v3.5.
3. IPS Signature was updated to version 1.41.

Known Issues:

1. QuickVPN Client running on Windows Vista sometimes cannot transfer more than 100MB
of file to a remote RVS4000 over a QuickVPN tunnel before the tunnel disconnects.

2. There is a known issue with Windows XP SP2 Firewall - ICMP packets are
always dropped by the Firewall when the Firewall is enabled. The issue will
cause the QuickVPN Client not being able to establish a tunnel with the
remote QuickVPN Server successfully. Microsoft has released a patch to fix
this issue. Once you install the patch, the issue should be resolved.
   http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889527/en-us
(The issue can also be fixed by upgrading Windows XP to SP3.)

3. Saving the configuration of port forwarding or port triggering rules will
cause the router to restart the firewall module, which can cause a temporary
lockup of the router for 10-15 sec.
4. QoS Rate Control has no effect when IPS is disabled. As a workaround, QoS Priority
   can be used instead.
5. DHCP Relay is not supported when when multiple VLANs are created.

6. IPS cannot block eMule 0.48a.
7. During firmware upgrade, the router will finish loading the firmware and reboot before
the progress bar shows 100% completed. Users are adviced to wait until the router
finishes the reboot and then try accessing the Web GUI.
8. The network mask of RIP messages shows up as a class-A subnet when a VLAN of RVS4000 is
   configured to be a class-C subnet but with a class-A address, e.g. 10.0.2.1/24.
