Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for Cisco® VPN 3000 Concentrator Software version 4.0. The last day to order Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator Software version 4.0 is November 23, 2005. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until November 23, 2008.
Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator Software version 4.0. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator Software version 4.7, which delivers extensive application access, best-in-market endpoint security, data integrity protection, advanced network infrastructure and application access, and network compliance validation controls. Information about Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator Software version 4.7 can be found at http://www.cisco.com/go/vpn3k. Table 3 provides relevant information for migrating from Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator Software version 4.0 to version 4.7.
