Product Overview
Cisco® Security Agent security software provides threat protection for server, desktop, and Point-of-Service (POS) computing systems. Cisco Security Agent goes beyond conventional endpoint security solutions by identifying and preventing malicious behavior before it can occur, thereby removing potential known and unknown security risks that threaten enterprise networks and applications. Cisco Security Agent mitigates new and evolving threats without requiring reconfigurations or updates on endpoints, providing robust protection with reduced operational costs.

New Features
Additional new features of Cisco Security Agent Version 5.2 include:
• Additional Linux platform support of Red Hat version 4 for Cisco Security Agents
• Support for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Enterprise and SQL Server 2005 Express as an external database
• New reporting capabilities to generate reports in HTML and PDF format
• Dynamic policy updates based on the Cisco NAC Framework posture for Linux-based endpoints
• Localization support for Polish and Portugese languages
• Support for Windows Embedded for Point of Service (WEPOS) operating system for retail terminals, such as cash registers
Upgrade Paths
Cisco Security Agent Version 5.2 provides new features and an upgrade path for all existing Cisco Security Agent customers. All Cisco Security Agent customers who have purchased Cisco Software Application Support (SAS) or SAS Plus Upgrades (SASU) are entitled to upgrade from prior versions of Cisco Security Agent Version 4.5 and greater to Cisco Security Agent Version 5.2.
Availability
Cisco Security Agent 5.2 will be available in March 2007.
