Cisco is introducing software applications from the Cisco® Unified Communications portfolio that install on specific configurations of customer-provided IBM xSeries x3650-M2, x3250-M2, and x3650 servers. Available applications include: Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Emergency Responder, Cisco Unified Application Environment, Cisco Unity® unified messaging, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Presence, Cisco Unified Mobility Advantage, Cisco Unified MeetingPlace® conferencing, Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Express, Cisco Unified Contact Center Express, Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise and Hosted, Cisco Unified Intelligent Contact Management Enterprise and Hosted, Cisco Unified Customer Voice Portal, Cisco Unified IP Interactive Voice Response (IP IVR), Cisco Unified Intelligent Suite, Cisco Unified Web Interaction Manager, Cisco Unified E-Mail Interaction Manager, Cisco Unified Contact Center Management Portal, and Cisco Unified Expert Advisor.
Customer-provided servers must exactly match the vendor, make, model, specifications, and parts lists in the configurations listed in the following sections to be supported. Deviations are not supported, and may result in an incomplete or failed install, or postinstallation problems. Customer-provided servers must also be on the certified hardware compatibility list for the intended software product and version.
Where equivalent Cisco MCS 7800 Media Convergence Server model numbers are given, they should be interpreted as the configurations used by Cisco Unified Communications Manager. The same MCS model used for other applications (where the MCS model has a different suffix) may use different components and specifications. Contact your local Cisco account team for more details.
For purchasing questions not addressed in the following sections, please contact an IBM representative for your country at: http://www.ibm.com/planetwide.
Table 1 lists supported platforms for Cisco Unified Communications products listed previously. Note that the Cisco MCS 7816 and MCS 7828 Media Convergence Servers do not have a software-only supported option.
