Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® ONT 1031 Gigabit Ethernet Series Optical Network Terminator. The last day to order the Cisco ONT 1031 Gigabit Ethernet Series Optical Network Terminator is September 15, 2005. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from theCiscoTechnical Assistance Center (TAC) until September 15, 2010. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco ONT 1031 Gigabit Ethernet Series Optical Network Terminator. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Cisco ONT 1031 Gigabit Ethernet Series Optical Network Terminator customers are encouraged to migrate to Cisco Catalyst® 2940, 2950, or 2970 series switches.
