End-of-Sale & EoL Announcement for Cisco 627, 675/675E, 677, & 678 ADSL CPE [Cisco 600 Series DSL Customer Premises Equipment Routers]

PRODUCT BULLETIN NO. 1310

Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® 627, Cisco 675/675E, Cisco 677, and Cisco 678 ADSL CPE. The last day to order these products is April 6, 2001. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until April 6, 2006. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected products. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.

Milestone	Definition	Date
End-of-life announcement date	The date the document that announces the end of sale and end of life of a product is distributed to the general public.	April 6, 2001
End-of-sale date	The last date to order the product through Cisco point-of-sale mechanisms. The product is no longer for sale after this date.	April 6, 2001
End of software maintenance releases date	The last date that Cisco Engineering may release any final software maintenance releases or bug fixes. After this date, Cisco Engineering will no longer develop, repair, maintain, or test the product software.	April 6, 2006
End of service contract renewal date	The last date to extend or renew a service contract for the product. The extension or renewal period cannot extend beyond the last date of support.	April 6, 2005
Last date of support	The last date to receive service and support for the product. After this date, all support services for the product are unavailable, and the product becomes obsolete.	April 6, 2006

PRODUCT MIGRATION OPTIONS

Cisco will not introduce new products to address this market segment. Cisco and third-party vendors offer various interoperable CPE solutions. Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco SOHO 77, Cisco 827, or the third-party CPE that has been tested for interoperability with Cisco IP DSL switches.
