This product bulletin summarizes Cisco IOS® Software releases and their respective default DSL chipset firmware versions supported on various DSL products. It is recommended that the matrices in this document be followed in certifying different DSL firmware with Cisco IOS Software release combinations. Only the combinations listed in Tables 1 through 7 have been tested by Cisco. As new combinations are verified they will be added to this document.

Summary of Tables

Table 1 lists the default firmware versions and Cisco IOS Software release combinations that are tested for the fixed config Integrated Services Routers (ISRs): Cisco 850, 870 & 180X series.
Table 2 lists the default firmware versions and Cisco IOS Software release combinations that are tested for the HWICs supported on the modular ISRs (1841, 2800 & 3800 Series): HWIC-1ADSL, HWIC-1ADSLI and HWIC-1ADSL-M.
Table 3 lists the default firmware versions and Cisco IOS Software release combinations that are tested for the asymmetric DSL (ADSL) WAN interface cards (WICs) on the Cisco® 1700, 1800, 2600, 2800, 3700, and 3800 series platforms.
Table 4 lists the default firmware versions with Cisco IOS Software release combinations for the small office or home office (SOHO) and Cisco 800 Series.
Table 5 & 6 lists the default G.shdsl firmware for all Cisco IOS Software releases on all G.shdsl platforms. The G.shdsl WICs and the fixed configuration G.shdsl routers do not have the option of firmware change with Cisco IOS Software releases. Hence, there has been no change to the default firmware.
Table 7 lists other Cisco IOS Software release-to-DSL products tested for ADSL WICs.
Table 8 lists other Cisco IOS Software Releases-to-DSL Firmware Mapping tested for ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ fixed configuration ISRs as well as the ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ HWICs.
