Cisco announces the availability of Cisco® Performance Visibility Manager (PVM) 1.0.2, which provides proactive network and application performance monitoring, reporting, and troubleshooting of Cisco networks instrumented with Cisco Network Analysis Module (NAM). Cisco PVM increases early visibility into network and application behavior issues before they become critical.

Data collection and aggregation from multiple Cisco NAMs
Provides a high-level, operational perspective of the network in order to quickly identify trouble spots.
Traffic and bandwidth analysis including top-N analysis
Identifies the types of traffic running in the network to give full visibility to the performance of your network and application resources. Identifies the top talkers, the top protocols, the most utilized links, and so on.
Application response time collection and correlation
Identifies whether the response-time problem is caused by the network or by the application server.
Real-time traffic monitoring and alerts based on threshold settings and baselining

Management of multiple Cisco NAMs including the capability to invoke the NAM Web-based GUI
Provides the capability to easily navigate directly to Cisco NAMs for faster and further troubleshooting and analysis.

Cisco Performance Visibility Manager 1.0.2 is now available.
Ordering Information
Table 2 lists the ordering information for Cisco Performance Visibility Manager. You must purchase the base software kit and at least one of the licenses listed in Table 2. Licensing is additive based on the type of Cisco NAM. For example, you can purchase the base software kit and a license for 50 Cisco Branch Routers Series Network Analysis Module NM-NAMs initially. You can upgrade the license without reinstalling the software. You can purchase additional licenses to support 10 Cisco Catalyst® 6500 Series and Cisco 7600 Series Network Analysis Module NAM-2s or other licenses at a later date. Note that Cisco PVM 1.0.2 supports Cisco NAM versions 3.4 and 3.5. The product can be extended to support Cisco NAM version 3.6 (legacy1 features only) and the NME-NAM platform by applying the Cisco PVM 1.0.2.2 patch.
