Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® Broadband Building Service Manager Hotspot 5.3 (BBSM Desktop Server). The last day to order the affected product is January 15, 2006. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until February15, 2009.
Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.

Enterprise accounts using Cisco BBSM Hotspot should migrate to the Cisco BBSM 1RU server appliance. For hotspot and hospitality applications, Cisco BBSM Hotspot customers should migrate to gateway appliance solutions from IP3 Networks or Nomadix.
