END-OF-LIFE NOTICE, NO. 2361
Cisco Systems® announces the End-of-Life of the Cisco® Building Broadband Service Manager (BBSM) Version 5.2-A. The last day to order the Cisco BBSM 5.2-A is May 21, 2004. Customers will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until May 21, 2009 for the hardware and until May 21, 2007 for the software. Table 1 describes the End-of-Life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco BBSM 5.2-A. Table 2 provides a listing of affected product part numbers.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco BBSM Version 5.3, which will offer more robust hardware, security, prepaid, and management features. Examples of the new feature offerings are dual VLAN support, all-in-one-box prepaid solution, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) trap alerts, health page, fault monitoring, and security hardening.
