This product bulletin serves as formal notification of the discontinuation of the following components:

Cisco IOS® Software Releases 12.2(15)T and 12.2(22)S

• Dot10vLAN

• Lan Emulation

• Xremote

• Netware Asynchronous Services Interface (NASI)

• LAN Extension

• IEEE 802.10 VLANS

These routing protocols will not be available in the future releases of Cisco IOS Software Releases 12.2(15)T, 12.2(22)S, and beyond.

AppleTalk EIGRP, Apollo Domain, Banyan Vines, EGP, HP Probe, IGRP, NHRP (IPX), NLSP, SMRP (Appletalk), and XNS Protocol Discontinuation

• Exterior Gateway Protocol (EGP)

• Next Hop Resolution Protocol (NHRP) for IPX

NetFlow Feature Acceleration

• NetFlow Feature Acceleration has been superseded, is obsolete, and is being deprecated. NetFlow Feature Acceleration is related to the first generation switching path technology NetFlow Switching (1997). The removal of NetFlow Feature Acceleration does not affect any other aspects of NetFlow. Cisco Express Forwarding (1998) supersedes the deprecated NetFlow Feature Acceleration.
