INTRODUCTION
This product bulletin describes the content and delivery information concerning Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.1(26)EB. It should be used in conjunction with the Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1E product bulletin. Release 12.1(26)EB is an Early Deployment release supporting Cisco® Catalyst® 8510 and 8540 multiservice switch routers (MSRs) and Cisco LightStream 1010 ATM Switches.
NEW FEATURES IN CISCO IOS SOFTWARE 12.1(26)EB
Table 1 lists the new features supported on the Cisco Catalyst 8510 MSR, Catalyst 8540 MSR, and Cisco LightStream 1010 ATM Switch.

DETAILED INFORMATION
SPVC Control and Filtering
The SPVC Control and Filtering feature allows the passive side of a two-ended SPVC to accept or reject the incoming SPVC based on the ATM End System Address (AESA) of the source and time of day. This feature allows filtering of unwanted or unknown source addresses and enhances the overall control and security of the network.
SPVC Backup Address MIB
In Release 12.1(22)EB, the SPVC Backup Address feature allows a secondary or backup destination address to be specified in the event of failure of the primary destination address. MIB support is added in Release 12.1(26)EB.
Timer Rules-Based SPVC
The Timer Rules-Based SPVC feature allows the network operator to schedule SPVCs by specifying the time of day, day of week, frequency, and duration of SPVCs. This feature is ideal for regularly scheduled SPVCs that have to be manually set up and torn down after use. One typical application is for broadcast video that occurs at regularly scheduled times and durations.
