PRODUCT SUBSTITUTION
The CISCO2512 is being reduced in price to the same level as the old CISCO2510. Customers will be able to purchase the same software functionality, with twice the number of asynchronous ports, for the price they used to pay for the CISCO2510.
WHY ARE WE ENDING SALES OF THE 2510?
Cisco can increase productivity, and lower product costs, by consolidating token ring access server production to one model, the CISCO2512. By reducing the 2512 price, Cisco preserves our customers choice to purchase a unit with an eight-port price.
