END-OF-LIFE NOTICE, NO. 1304
OVERVIEW
CNBU (Content Networking Business Unit) is announcing the End-of-Life for the original ArrowPoint CS-800 Switch Fabric Module and preconfigured CS-800 chassis with part numbers CS-800-SFM-01 and CS-800-SYS-01. The same functionality and feature set is available on the CSS8-SFM2 and CSS-11801-AC.
MINIMUM SOFTWARE
Regardless of what version of software is executing on the original SFM, the minimum revision of WebNS software needed to support the CSS8-SFM2 is v3.02.
SUMMARY OF END-OF-LIFE PLAN
Note: This new part number is intended to be the long-term replacement for the previously available switch part number.

END OF PRODUCTION DATE
End of production occurred in January 2000.
LAST SOFTWARE SUPPORT DATE
The last software support date will be January 2003, the last supported version of software is intended to be Web NS 5.0.
END-OF-SUPPORT ANNOUNCEMENT
The End-of-Support announcement will occur in June 2003.
DATE FOR DISCONTINUING RENEWAL OF CONTRACTS
End of contract renewals will be in January 2004.
OBSOLETION
The CS-800-SFM-01 and CS-800-SYS-01 products will be declared obsolete in January 2005.
