Customers are encouraged to migrate to the new Cisco WAE-511 Wide Area Application Engine, introduced along with the Cisco WAE-611 and WAE-7326 models. Based on the same hardware architecture as the content engine appliances, the new WAE appliances come with enhanced hardware components, such as increased internal storage capacity and memory size, and increased performance for a similar or lower price. Information about the replacement products can be found at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/contnetw/index.html.
The new WAE product family uses either Cisco ACNS Software Version 5.3.3 or higher, or Cisco WAFS 3.0.1 Software or higher, to provide higher performance, more flexibility, enhanced scalability, and new features. Information about the Cisco ACNS or WAFS Software products can be found at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/contnetw/index.html.
