Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® 510A, 565A, and Network Module-SCSI content engines. The last day to order these Cisco products is July 21, 2005. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until July 21, 2010.
Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco 510A, 565A, and Network Module-SCSI content engines. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the new Cisco 511 and 566 content engines, which offer the latest in hardware component upgrades, performance, and flexibility. Information about the replacement products can be found at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/conntsw/ps491/index.html. Table 3 provides relevant information for migrating from the end-of-life product to these replacement products.

PRODUCT MIGRATION OPTIONS
The recommended replacement for the Cisco 510A, 565A, and Network Module-SCSI content engines are the Cisco 511 and 566 content engines (Table 3). The replacement products are built with the latest hardware components and use the latest release of the Cisco ACNS Software, version 5.2 or later. These content engines are already available for customer orders.
