Cisco IP/VC Quick Product Overview

The Cisco videoconferencing solution is the Cisco IP/VC product family. This product family is primarily comprised of the Cisco IP/VC 3500 Series which consists of the Cisco IP/VC 3510 Multipoint Control Unit (MCU), the Cisco IP/VC 3520 and IP/VC 3525 Videoconferencing Gateways, and the Cisco IP/VC 3530 Video Terminal Adapter (VTA).

The Cisco IP/VC 3510 MCU allows multiple participants in multiple locations to attend the same meeting with full real-time interactivity. The IP/VC 3520/3525 Gateways let users connect their ISDN-based H.320 systems to IP-based H.323 videoconferencing endpoints. And the IP/VC 3530 Video Terminal Adapter (VTA) connects a single H.320 room-based system to an IP network.

In addition, there is the Cisco Multimedia Conference Manager, which is an H.323 Gatekeeper/Proxy. Combine these Cisco products with any H.323-compliant endpoint, all running over a Cisco IP network infrastructure, and you create a complete videoconferencing solution.
