Problem Symptoms

When a user is associated to multiple Unity Subscribers they will be prompted to select a user when logging into Cisco PCA. This is working as designed. The problem is that the wording of the message displayed is not clear for end users of the product. The message displayed is: "Ambiguous user. Contact your Cisco Unity administrator for assistance."

Problem Description and Resolution

Text changed to the following:

"The user name you entered is associated with more than one subscriber account. To access personal options and/or messages for a particular subscriber, you must select the user name which is associated with that subscriber account. Confirm that you entered the user name you want to use to log on to the Cisco PCA, or select another one from the User Name list. Then, click Log On. Contact your Cisco Unity administrator for more information about your account or if you experience other trouble logging on."
