Cisco Unity 4.0(5) Engineering Special 38

Resolved Caveat
CSCsb88560
Problem Symptoms
A caller dials a users extension and is then left on hold indefinitely. Cisco Unity ports become locked on the server and no longer take calls.
Problem Description and Resolution
During a supervise transfer where call screening feature "Announce" has been selected, if the called subscriber accepts the transfer but then immediately hangs up, Cisco Unity will continue to keep the caller on hold until they hang up.
The failure may result in locking the Cisco Unity port such that further calls to that port will not be answered.
A hang-up event from the consultation call during the announce conversation will now trigger Cisco Unity to abort the transfer. The original call will be resumed and the caller will hear the subscriber's personal greeting.
