This section contains information on the system and network requirements of Cisco Jabber IM for iPhone. Use these guidelines for planning and implementing your deployment of the application.
Server Applications
Cisco Jabber IM for iPhone is compatible with the following server applications:
- Cisco WebEx Connect 7.5 or higher
- Cisco Unified Presence 8.0 or higher
Desktop Applications
Cisco Jabber IM for iPhone is compatible with the following desktop applications:
- Cisco WebEx Connect 7.0 or higher
- Cisco Unified Personal Communicator 8.5 or higher
- Cisco Jabber for MAC 8.6(1) or higher
- Web IM
Mobile Applications
Cisco Jabber IM for iPhone is compatible with the following mobile applications:
- Cisco Jabber IM for Blackberry 1.0 or higher
- Cisco Jabber IM for Cius 1.0 or higher
- Cisco Jabber for iPad 1.0 or higher
Supported iOS Versions
Cisco Jabber IM for iPhone is supported on the following versions of iOS:
VPN Support
Users connecting to a Cisco Unified Presence deployment outside of their network will have to use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) application to connect and use Cisco Jabber IM for iPhone. Application users have two options:
- Cisco AnyConnect - Download the Cisco AnyConnect application from the App Store. Launch the AnyConnect application after installation and enter the required information.
- Native VPN - iOS provides native VPN support. Select to use this functionality and select IPSec. Enter the required information.
Consult with your network administrator to determine which of the two options should be used with your corporate deployment.
