Solution components

Packaged CCE contact center applications are:

The Unified CCE Call Server, which functions as the call router and makes all routing decisions. It also acts as the Peripheral Gateway and as the CTI OS object server.

The Unified CCE Data Server, which functions as the logger and stores contact center configuration data and reporting data.. It also serves as the Administration and Realtime data server (or AW).

The Cisco Unified Customer Voice Portal (CVP) Call Server provides prompting, queuing, and call control. For Packaged CCE, the CVP server combines the Call Server and VXML server functionality. This guide refers to it as the Unified CVP Call/VXML Server.

The Cisco Unified Communications Manager Server call processing component. The Publisher stores the read-write database. Devices such as phones and gateways register to the Subscribers.

The Unified CVP OAMP Server, which maintains the Unified CVP cluster.

The Unified CVP Reporting Server, which collects information from CVP components and call servers and makes that information available to Cisco Unified Intelligence Center.

Cisco Unified Intelligence Center, a web-based reporting application that generates real-time and historical reports for Unified Contact Center Enterprise and Cisco Unified CVP.

Cisco Finesse, a browser-based agent and supervisor desktop.

These VMs must be on Side A and Side B as indicated below:

Note

You cannot have any additional VMs, even if you are using an external Unified Communications Manager cluster.

Hardware Requirements

The Packaged CCE deployment at the customer site must run in a duplexed environment with a pair of Unified Computing System (UCS) C-260M2 servers. These servers are referred to as Side A Host and Side B Host. They fulfill the specifications in the following table.

Server Model

Cisco UCS C-260 Technology Refresh Configuration (TRC) Series

CPU Type

Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E7-2870 @ 2.40-GHz

CPU Cores

Two 10-core CPUs

Memory

128-GB

Disks

Sixteen 300-GB hard drives (HDD)

Virtual Interface

The core server has an integrated dual port controller and a Quad Port 10/100/1GB NIC is part of the CCE PAC M1 C series.

These ports are for VMware NIC teaming hardware redundancy for the Packaged CCE Visible and Private networks, along with VMware host management.

Refer to the Network Design chapter in the Installation guide for further details.

Firmware: Ensure that your UCS C-260M2 server is running the current firmware. To check the firmware, go to http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/type.html?mdfid=283862072&catid=282558030.

VMware Hosting

ESXi Hypervisor 5.1 with VM Version 8 is required.
