New and Changed Information
- Lock user accounts automatically after five unsuccessful login attempts
Unified Intelligence Center locks user accounts after five unsuccessful login attempts if users log in to Unified Intelligence Center using the wrong credentials.
- Alert the administrator if DRF backup schedule is not configured
Unified Intelligence Center alerts the administrator if the administrator does not have a Disaster Recovery Framework (DRF) backup schedule configured.
- Authenticate secured permalink
Unified Intelligence Center supports secured permalink. Permalink authentication ensures that permalink is accessible only after the user is authenticated.
- Include variable parameters to the existing permalink
Unified Intelligence Center supports inclusion of variable parameters to the existing permalink.
- Show and hide the generated and filter information
Unified Intelligence Center supports showing and hiding the generated and filter information in the report viewer.
- Support for HTTPS and HTTP
Unified Intelligence Center supports both HTTPS and HTTP. You can ask the administrator to explicitly enable support for HTTP.
- Create new entities and to modify existing entities in a category
Unified Intelligence Center supports creation of new entities and modification of existing entities in a category if you have write permission. Users with only execute permission on any dashboard category, report definition category, and report category can no longer create new entities and cannot modify existing entities within these categories. To create new entities and to modify existing entities, you must have write permission for the corresponding category, which you can request from the administrator.
- Access a report through the authorized permalink
Unified Intelligence Center supports access to a report through the authorized permalink. Users without access to a category can now access a report through the authorized permalink if they have execute permission for that report.
- Performance optimization in Internet Explorer for loading collection values
Unified Intelligence Center now quickly loads a large number of collection values in Internet Explorer. The browser does not repeatedly prompt you to load more values.
System Requirements
The Hardware and System Software Specification (Bill of Materials) for Cisco Unified Intelligence Center is posted on the Cisco.com website. You can find the Cisco Unified Communications Compatibility Tool for the various Cisco Unified Communications System (UCS) releases at: http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/vtgsca/VTGServlet.
Important Notes
Upgrading VMware Tools
This process of upgrading VMware tools is applicable only for Unified Intelligence Center Systems running on Unified Communications System virtualized hardware. VMware Tools are specialized drivers for virtual hardware that are installed in the Unified Communications (UC) applications when they are running in the virtualized environment. The VMware tools version running in the UC application must be in sync with the version of ESXi being used. The methods that the UC applications use to upgrade the VMware Tools are given in the UCS Virtualization Wiki.
Cisco Unified Intelligence Center supports upgrading VMware Tools using the command: utils vmtools upgrade.
To know more about the command syntax, see “Appendix A: Command Line Interface” in the Administration Console User Guide for Cisco Unified Intelligence Center.
