Cisco Mobile Release 7.1 for BlackBerry Devices
Note:
Your company or system administrator may not offer some of the features in this document.
Accessing Cisco Mobile
Cisco Mobile is in Applications or Downloads on most devices, but location may vary by device model.
Common Tasks
•
Start each task from the home view of Cisco Mobile.
•
Use the trackball, trackwheel, or trackpad to navigate and open or select an item.
•
Select the Menu key to display task options.
Contacts
To add a contact:
1.
Select Contacts.
2.
Select the Menu key > Directory Lookup.
3.
Enter all or part of the name.
4.
Select the Menu key > Search.
5.
Select the name.
6.
Select the Menu key > Add to Contacts.
Calls
To place a call directly or dial via office:
1.
Select a name or phone number from any list, such as contacts, voice messages, or text messages.
You can also select a name or phone number from the native BlackBerry Call Log or contact list.
2.
Select the Menu key > Dial or Dial via Office.
You can also select the green (Call) key.
In Cisco Mobile, the green (Call) key dials using the method you defined in Settings > Calls Settings, and then dials the default phone number for the person (if defined).
In the BlackBerry Call Log or contact list, the green (Call) key dials direct only.
Open the name or phone number to see or change the phone number before dialing.
To view the call history for your office phone, select Calls.
Voice Messages
To access your office voice messages from Cisco Mobile:
1.
Select Voicemail.
2.
Select a message.
Make sure Cisco Mobile is set to receive voice messages (Settings > Voicemail Settings > Voice Messages > Receive).
Text Messages
To send a message to another Cisco Mobile user:
1.
Select Contacts.
2.
Select the name.
3.
Select the Menu key > Send Message.
To view a received text message, or to check the status of a text message that you sent:
1.
Select Text Messages.
2.
Select the name.
3.
Select the message > Menu key > Open.
Conferences
To join a voice conference, open the native BlackBerry Calendar application:
1.
Make sure you are signed in to Cisco Mobile.
2.
Open the BlackBerry Calendar application.
3.
Select the conference.
4.
Select the Menu key > Join Meeting.
If a supported meeting, the meeting dials you.
Availability
To change your status:
1.
Select Status.
2.
Scroll and select your status.
To check the status of other users:
1.
Select Contacts.
2.
Check the icon next to the name for status.
The status appears for users of supported presence systems such as Cisco Mobile or Cisco Unified Personal Communicator.
Alerts
To receive alerts for voice messages, text messages, and missed calls:
1.
Select the Menu key > Settings > General Settings.
2.
Select Cisco Mobile Alerts > Enable.

Icon appears in Downloads on most devices.
