Published: September 25, 2009Revised: April 20, 2011
Note
This application is unrelated to Cisco Mobile, Releases 8.0 and later, which connect directly to Cisco Unified Communications Manager and does not require a Cisco Unified Mobility Advantage server. See Release Notes for that product at http://cisco.com/en/US/products/ps7271/prod_release_notes_list.html.
To view the release notes for Cisco Unified Mobility Advantage and for other clients, go to: http://cisco.com/en/US/products/ps7270/prod_release_notes_list.html.
For the latest Cisco Mobile software, visit the Apple App Store using iTunes or the App Store application on the iPhone.
Contents
Introduction
Cisco Mobile client software works in conjunction with Cisco Unified Mobility Advantage server software to extend Cisco enterprise communications applications and services to iPhones. Cisco Mobile is a Cisco Unified Mobile Communicator application.
System Requirements
For system requirements for client, server, and related enterprise servers, see the Compatibility Matrix at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps7270/products_device_support_tables_list.html.
New and Changed Information
•
In certain environments with hybrid Cisco Unified MeetingPlace and Cisco WebEx deployments, cross-launching of the WebEx meeting application was supported when Release 7.1.3 shipped but is no longer supported.
•
Users can still join meetings using audio.
•
Voice messages downloaded before an upgrade to 7.1.5 are not supported by iOS 4.3 and later.
Cisco Mobile redownloads voice messages in a supported format when users upgrade to version 7.1.5 in the following way: Cisco Mobile signs upgrading users out, deletes cached voice messages, and automatically redownloads voice messages when users sign back in with a password.
Note
Reprovisioning an account after an upgrade to 7.1.5 also redownloads voice messages in a supported format. Users can do this if they receive a message that a voice message cannot play.
