Availability of Menus in Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator
Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator can operate in two modes, as follows:
•
Integrated with Microsoft Office Communicator: The conversation pane is located at the bottom of the Microsoft Office Communicator window.
•
Not integrated with Microsoft Office Communicator: The conversation pane runs independently of Microsoft Office Communicator, and is displayed in a separate window.
The following menus are available in Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator:
•
Microsoft Office Communicator Tools menu: Select the Menu button in the Microsoft Office Communicator title bar, then select Tools.
•
Conversation pane menu: When Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator is not integrated, press F10.
•
Active conversations window menu: Give input focus to the active conversations window, then press F10.
Depending on which mode Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator is operating in, some of the menus are not available, as shown in the following table:
This guide documents the menu items that are available when Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator is not integrated. When a menu item is available in integrated mode, it is noted in this guide.
Setting Input Indicators for the Display
Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator displays input indicators to assist users who have difficulty seeing things on screen. Input indicators are dotted rectangles around objects that show which screen object currently has focus. Input indicators are not displayed if the Hide underlined letters for keyboard navigation until I press the Alt key option is checked. To display input indicators, uncheck this option as follows:

Open the Display tool in the Control Panel.

Select the Appearance tab.

Select Effects.
Step 4
Uncheck Hide underlined letters for keyboard navigation until I press the Alt key.

Move the input focus to the conversation pane, then press Ctrl+Shift+P.

You might need to request your Cisco Unified Communications system administrator to increase the number of rings or the duration allowed for an incoming call before it is redirected to voicemail.
Working with Active Conversations
These keyboard shortcuts apply to both phone calls and conference calls. They apply when the active conversations window is the active window. They apply to the currently-selected conversation in the active conversations window. All the menu items listed in this section are available both when Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator is integrated with Microsoft Office Communicator, and not integrated with Microsoft Office Communicator.

These keyboard shortcuts apply to conference calls only. They apply when the active conversations window is the active window. The menu items listed in this section are available both when Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator is integrated with Microsoft Office Communicator, and not integrated with Microsoft Office Communicator.

The menu item listed in this section is available both when Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator is integrated with Microsoft Office Communicator, and not integrated with Microsoft Office Communicator.
Important Notes
•
To open the pop-up menu for an entry in the conversation history window, select the entry, then press Ctrl+Right Arrow.
•
It can be difficult to read Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator windows with the high contrast appearance scheme High Contrast #1.
•
You cannot use the keyboard to perform the following actions:

Expand or collapse the conversation pane
–
Resize the conversation pane in the Microsoft Office Communicator window
–
Resize columns
–
Sort list items
