This preface describes the purpose, audience, and conventions of the Networking Guide for Cisco Unity Bridge, and provides information on how to obtain related documentation.
Purpose
The Networking Guide for Cisco Unity Bridge contains detailed discussions of and instructions for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Bridge Networking on Cisco Unity and the Cisco Unity Bridge.
The Networking Guide for Cisco Unity Bridge focuses on Cisco Unity. It does not provide information on Microsoft Windows, IBM Lotus Domino, or Microsoft Exchange, or on configuring other voice messaging systems.
Audience
The Networking Guide for Cisco Unity Bridge is intended for system administrators and others responsible for setting up and managing Cisco Unity and the Cisco Unity Bridge. You need a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and of the message store (IBM Lotus Domino or Microsoft Exchange) in which voice messages are stored, as well as a working knowledge of Octel analog networking and the Octel voice messaging system with which Cisco Unity will network.
