Note
Some sections of the user interface are hidden by default, according to settings in the Configuration Tool; however, these sections appear in the documentation.
Starting Resource Manager
Resource Manager is installed as a Windows Service on your server. Resource Manager automatically starts when the server is started.
Restarting Resource Manager
To restart Resource Manager, you must either restart the server or the Resource Manager service.
Restarting the Service
Procedure
Step 1
From the Start menu, select Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
Step 2
From the list of services currently running on the server, select the service name Resource Manager.
Note
When Resource Manager is restarted, it may take a few minutes for Resource Manager to properly initialize before web pages can be loaded.
Logging In
After installation is complete, you can log in according to your role.
Procedure
Step 1
To open the log in window for administrators, go the location provided in your user setup notification e-mail.
Step 2
In the login window that appears, enter the required information, and then click Login.
Note
To change a password or user name, if you are an Administrator, in the sidebar menu click User Management, and then make changes to the information on the User Profile window.
Step 3
If you are logging in for the first time, the User Provisioning window appears in which you must select one of the following database options:

Via CUVCM RM—To use the internal Resource Manager database
–
Via Directory Server Type—To use an LDAP database. You must also provide information about the LDAP database in the required fields (URL, Login, LDAP Server Domain, and LDAP Search Base)
–
Via external server only
Step 4
Click OK.
You are automatically logged out of Resource Manager.
