Cisco IOS Software Command Reference
This chapter lists the Cisco IOS commands used to configure the host router and the E-Series Server.

Password Reset Command

Resets the BIOS, CIMC, or RAID password.
- slot—Router slot number in which the E-Series Server is installed.
- BIOS—Resets the BIOS password.
- BMC—Resets the CIMC password.

Session Command

ucse slot session {imc [clear] | host [clear]}
|
Starts or closes a session with the host E-Series Server or with CIMC.
- slot—Router slot number in which the E-Series Server is installed.
- imc—Starts a session with CIMC.
- imc clear—Clears the existing CIMC session.
- host—Starts a session with the host E-Series Server.
- host clear—Clears the host E-Series Server session.

| If serial-over-LAN is enabled in CIMC, the session host command will not display any output.

IP Address Configuration Commands

imc ip address ip_address subnet_mask default-gateway gateway_address
no imc ip address ip_address subnet_mask default-gateway gateway_address

Configures a static IP address for CIMC and the IP address of the default gateway router that CIMC must use.
- ip_address —IP address of CIMC.
- subnet_mask—Subnet mask to append to the IP address; must be in the same subnet as the host router.
- gateway_address—IP address of the default gateway router.

imc ip address dhcp
no imc ip address dhcp
|
Configures a dynamic IP address for CIMC.

CIMC Access Commands

imc access-port {dedicated | shared-lom [GE1 | GE2 | GE3 | console | failover [option]}

Configures CIMC access through the E-Series Server’s dedicated or shared LOM ports.
- dedicated—Configures CIMC access using the Management (dedicated) port.
- shared-lom—Configures CIMC access using one of the following shared LOM ports:
- GE1
- GE2
- GE1
- console
- failover
- option—If you enter failover, you must also enter one of the additional parameters:
- GE1 GE1 [GE2] | [GE3] [GE2 GE3]
- GE2 GE2 GE3

VLAN Command

Gracefully shuts down the E-Series Server and then powers it on.
- slot—Router slot number in which the E-Series Server is installed.

Resets the hardware on the E-Series Server.
- slot—Router slot number in which the E-Series Server is installed.

ucse slot start
|
Powers on the E-Series Server.
- slot—Router slot number in which the E-Series Server is installed.

ucse slot stop
|
Powers down the E-Series Server immediately.
- slot—Router slot number in which the E-Series Server is installed.

ucse slot shutdown
|
Gracefully shuts down the E-Series Server.
- slot—Router slot number in which the E-Series Server is installed.

Statistics and Status Commands

Displays or clears the reset and reload information of the E-Series Server.
- slot—Router slot number in which the E-Series Server is installed.
- clear—Clears the E-Series Server's reset and reload information.

ucse slot status [detailed]

Displays configuration information related to the hardware and software on the E-Series Server.
- slot—Router slot number in which the E-Series Server is installed.
- detailed—Displays detail information about the E-Series Server, such as the status of the server and settings of the reset and heartbeat-reset flags.
