How do I use NetMeeting to get into a conference on the Cisco TelePresence MCU?
To navigate the Cisco TelePresence MCU's auto attendant using NetMeeting, go to View > Dial Pad. This brings up a key pad that can be used to enter the conference ID and PIN.
You can also enter conferences directly by registering NetMeeting and the MCU with a gatekeeper. If you don't have an existing gatekeeper, you can use the MCU's built-in gatekeeper. (See the MCU's online help for instructions on how to enable the built-in gatekeeper.) Then use the following steps:
- In NetMeeting, go to Tools > Options and click Advanced Calling.
- In the Gatekeeper settings section at the top of the Advanced Calling Options window, select Use a gatekeeper to place calls.
- Enter the IP address of your gatekeeper in the Gatekeeper field.
- Click OK and return to the main NetMeeting window.
- On your Cisco TelePresence MCU, go to Settings > Gatekeeper and register both the MCU and its conference with your gatekeeper. (Refer to the MCU's online help for more details.)
- In NetMeeting, enter the numeric ID of the conference in the Call number field.
- Dial up and you will be connected directly to the conference.
Alternatively, without a gatekeeper, you can call conferences directly using the following steps:
- In NetMeeting, go to Tools > Options and click Advanced Calling.
- In the Gateway settings section at the bottom of the Advanced Calling Options window, select Use a gateway.
- Enter the IP address of your MCU in the Gateway field.
- Click OK and return to the main Netmeeting window.
- Enter the numeric ID of the conference in the Call number field.
- Dial up and you will be connected directly to the conference.
