Low and/or distorted sound using the Cisco TelePresence PrecisionHD USB Camera on Windows 7

If using the Cisco TelePresence PrecisionHD USB Camera versions 1.0 or 1.1 with Windows 7, a very high input gain will be set for your microphone, which can cause sound to be distorted or unnaturally low. Upgrading the camera software to version 1.2 or later, or lowering the recording volume for your microphone in the Windows settings will resolve this issue.
