Finding the Serial Number Location
You might need the serial number of your TX1300 47 to order FRUs. The serial number is located on the inside of the cabinet as shown in Figure 5-1.

Replacing the Camera Cover—Part Number CTS1300-CAMCOV=
This section describes the steps you take to remove and replace the camera and contains the following topics:

Required Tools
A 3mm allen wrench is required.
Removing and Replacing the Camera Cover
To remove the existing camera cover and replace it with a new camera cover, perform the following actions:
Step 1 Remove the existing camera cover by loosening four allen screws - two at the top of the cover and two at the bottom.
See Figure 4-6 for more information.
Step 2 Install the replacement camera cover by tightening the four allen screws on the new cover.
Step 3 Level and recalibrate the camera by following the procedure in the "Setting Up the Cameras" section in Chapter 4 "First-Time Setup."
Replacing the Camera—Part Number CTS1300-47CAMCLST=
This section describes the steps you take to remove and replace the camera and contains the following topics:

A 3mm allen wrench is required.
Removing and Replacing the Camera
To remove the existing camera and replace it with a new camera, perform the following actions:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 2-15 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Remove the speaker cover.
See Figure 2-14 for more information.
Step 4 Disconnect the camera cables at the camera processor by pressing on the connectors and pulling them out.
See Figure 2-9 for more information.
Tip Be sure to note the connections between the cameras and the processors. Table 5-2 shows the current labels. If the labels are missing or you cannot find them, label the processors with tape, or use some other method of labeling the cables and cameras.

Step 5 Loosen the three hex screws securing the camera in place.
Step 6 Slide the camera forward until the slots in the metal camera bracket disengages from the grooves in the TX1300 47 assembly.
See Figure 2-9 for more information.
Step 7 Take the new camera and slide it forward onto the camera bracket on the TX1300 47, and secure it with three screws.
Step 8 Connect the camera cables, using either the existing labels or the labels that you created in Step 4.
Step 9 Replace the speaker cover.
Step 10 Power on the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "ON" position.
Step 11 Replace the cabinet cover.
Step 12 Level and recalibrate the camera by following the procedure in the "Setting Up the Cameras" section in Chapter 4 "First-Time Setup."
Replacing the Display—Part Number CTS-DISP-47-GEN1=
This procedure describes how to replace the display and includes the following sections:

Replacing the Display
To replace the display:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 2-15 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Remove the speaker cover.
See Figure 2-14 for more information.
Step 4 Remove the camera:
a. Disconnect the camera cables at the camera processor by pressing on the connectors and pulling them out.
See Figure 2-9 for more information.
Tip Be sure to note the connections between the cameras and the processors. Table 5-3 shows the current labels. If the labels are missing or you cannot find them, label the processors with tape, or use some other method of labeling the cables and cameras.

b. Loosen the three hex screws securing the camera in place.

a. Pull on the two display removal straps in the cabinet to disengage the display latches.
b. Pull the base of the display forwards
c. Using two people, lift the display off of the display hooks.

Replacing a Codec—Part Number CTS-CODEC-PRI-G2R= or CTS-CODEC-PRI-RCH= (PRC)
This procedure describes the steps you perform to remove and replace a TX1300 47 codec and includes the following topics:

A #2 Phillips head screwdriver is required.
Removing and Replacing the Codec
To remove and replace a codec, complete the following steps:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 2-15 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Remove the cables from the codec.
See Figure 2-12 for a cable routing diagram.
Step 4 Remove the two screws connecting the codec brackets to the base of the cabinet, and remove the codec assembly from the cabinet.
See Figure 2-11 for more information.
Step 5 Remove codec brackets by removing the eight screws connecting the codec brackets to the codec.
See Figure 2-10 for more information.
Step 6 Install the new codec into the cabinet by completing the following steps:
a. Attach the codec brackets to the codec, using four screws on each side.
b. Insert the codec and brackets into the left side of the cabinet and attach the codec assembly to the bottom of the cabinet using two screws.
c. Reconnect all cables to the replacement codec.
Step 7 Complete the following steps to configure the new codec in Cisco Unified Communications Manager:
a. Open a browser on a computer connected to the network.
b. Access the Cisco Unified Communications Manager interface.
c. Add the Room Email ID of the previous codec to the new codec.
d. Make sure the new codec's status is registered.
e. Delete the MAC address of the previous codec from the Cisco Unified CM application user profile that is used in Cisco TelePresence Manager (CTS-Manager).
f. Add the new codec to the application user profile and click Save.
Step 8 Power on the system by turning the PDU in the right of the cabinet to the "ON" position.
Step 9 In a supported Internet browser, type in the IP address of for your TX1300 47 system.
Note If your system is configured to use a static IP address instead of DHCP, see the "Configuring a Static IP Address for Networks That Do Not Use DHCP" section.
Step 10 Enter the required information at the login screen.
The Cisco TelePresence Administrator window appears.
Step 11 Verify that the status of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (seen in the lower left portion of the window) is Enabled/Up.
Step 12 Make sure that the new codec is running Cisco TelePresence Administration Software version 1.8.0 or later.
Note The replacement codec might come pre-loaded with version 1.7.1.1 software. In this case, you cannot immediately load the newest version of CTS software and need to perform an interim upgrade to 1.7.4. For more information, see the "Upgrading the CTS Software for Systems That Are Running Cisco TelePresence Software Versions Prior to 1.7.4." section of Installing and Configuring the Cisco TelePresence Touch 12.
Step 13 Navigate to Troubleshooting > Hardware Setup to verify that the cameras, displays, speakers, and microphones are working properly.
Step 14 Select the correct table type, size, and distance by completing the following steps:
a. Navigate to Troubleshooting > Hardware Setup > Table Configuration.
b. Click Start to display the Table Configuration options.
c. Under Table Shape, select the correct table shape.
d. Under Table Size, select the correct table size.
e. Under Table Distance, select the correct distance between the bezel of the system and the rear edge of the table
Step 15 Perform the Auto Adjust camera setup procedure. This sets the white balance to the correct levels. See the "Setting Up the Cameras" section in Chapter 4 "First-Time Setup" for detailed instructions.
Replacing the Light Control Unit—Part Number CTS-1300-LCU=
The light control unit (LCU) controls the lighting for the TX1300 47. This section describes the procedure to remove and replace the LCU and contains the following topics:

Required Tools
The following tools are required:
•#2 phillips screwdriver
•Nut driver or wrench
Removing and Replacing the Light Control Unit
To replace the light control unit (LCU), complete the following steps:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 2-15 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Remove the cables from the codec.
See Figure 2-12 for a cable routing diagram.
Step 4 Remove the two screws connecting the codec brackets to the base of the cabinet, and remove the codec assembly from the cabinet.
See Figure 2-11 for more information.
Step 5 Disconnect the LCU cables.
Step 6 The LCU is attached to the cabinet by two posts, one at the top of the LCU, and one at the bottom. The LCU is secured to these posts by nuts. Remove the two nuts and pull the LCU off of the two posts.

Step 7 Install the replacement LCU onto the two posts, and secure with the nuts.
Step 8 Reconnect the LCU cables.
Step 9 Replace the codec assembly.
Step 10 Reconnect all cables to the codec.
Step 11 Power on the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "ON" position.
Step 12 Replace the cabinet cover.
Replacing the Audio/Video Extension Unit—Part Number CTS1300-LAEB=
This section describes the procedure to remove and replace the audio/video extension unit and contains the following topics:

The following tools are required:
•#2 phillips screwdriver
•Nut driver or wrench
Removing and Replacing the Audio/Video Extension Unit
To replace the audio/video extension unit, complete the following steps:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 2-15 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Remove the cables from the codec.
See Figure 2-12 for a cable routing diagram.
Step 4 Remove the two screws connecting the codec brackets to the base of the cabinet, and remove the codec assembly from the cabinet.
See Figure 2-11 for more information.
Step 5 Disconnect the audio/video extension unit cables.
Step 6 The audio/video extension unit is attached to the cabinet by two posts, one at the top of the audio/video extension unit, and one at the bottom. The audio/video extension unit is secured to these posts by nuts. Remove the two nuts and pull the audio/video extension unit off of the two posts.

Step 7 Install the replacement audio/video extension unit onto the two posts, and secure with the nuts.
Step 8 Reconnect the audio/video extension unit cables.
Step 9 Replace the codec.
Step 10 Reconnect all cables to the codec.
Step 11 Power on the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "ON" position.
Step 12 Replace the cabinet cover.
Replacing the Bottom Light Fixture or a Side Light Fixture—Part Number CTS-1300-47LED-B= (Bottom), or CTS-1300-47LED-S= (Side)
This procedure describes the procedure you perform to replace the light structure and includes the following sections:

Removing and Replacing the Bottom Light Fixture or a Side Light Fixture
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.

Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.

Step 3 Remove the speaker cover.

Step 4 Remove the camera:

Removing and Replacing the Top Light Fixture
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.

Step 3 Remove the speaker cover.
See Figure 2-14 for more information.
Step 4 Remove the camera:

Step 5 Remove the display:
a. Pull on the two display removal straps in the cabinet to disengage the display latches.

Step 6 Remove the microphone array:
a. Disconnect the cable connected to the microphone array.
b. Remove the six screws securing each of the two microphone array circuit boards.
c. Remove both microphone array circuit boards.
See Figure 5-8 for more information.
Step 7 Remove the speakers:
a. Disconnect the two cables connected to the speaker.
b. Remove the four screws securing the speaker.
c. Remove the speaker.
See Figure 5-7 for more information.
Step 8 Disconnect the light cable from the LED light.
Step 9 Remove the eight screws connecting the LED light to the reflector cabinet, and remove the LED light.

Step 10 Replace the LED light.
Step 11 Connect the light cable to the replacement LED light.
Step 12 Replace the speakers.

Replacing a Speaker—Part Number CTS-SPEAKER-SM=
This section describes the steps you take to remove and replace a speaker and contains the following topics:

Removing and Replacing a Speaker
To remove and replace a speaker, perform the following actions:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 2-15 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Remove the speaker cover.
See Figure 2-14 for more information.
Step 4 Disconnect the two cables connected to the speaker.
Step 5 Remove the four screws securing the speaker.
Step 6 Remove the speaker.

Step 7 Replace the speaker, and secure with four screws.
Step 8 Reconnect speaker cables.
Step 9 Replace the speaker cover.
Step 10 Power on the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "ON" position.

Replacing the Microphone Array—Part Number CTS1300-47MICARR=
This section describes the steps you take to remove and replace the microphone array and contains the following topics:

Removing and Replacing the Microphone Array
To remove and replace the microphone array, perform the following actions:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 2-15 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Remove the speaker cover.
See Figure 2-14 for more information.
Step 4 Disconnect the cable connected to the microphone array.
Step 5 Remove the six screws securing each of the two microphone array circuit boards.
Step 6 Remove both microphone array circuit boards.
Note The two microphone array circuit boards are connected by a ribbon cable, that is secured to the light reflector by a nylon clip. You must remove the ribbon cable from the clip to remove the microphone array circuit boards.

Step 7 Replace both microphone array circuit boards, and secure with six screws for each circuit board.
Step 8 Reconnect microphone array cable.
Step 9 Replace the speaker cover.
Step 10 Power on the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "ON" position.
Step 11 Replace the cabinet cover.
Replacing the PDU—Part Number CTS-PWR-PDU=
This section describes the steps you take to remove and replace the camera and contains the following topics:

A #2 Phillips head screwdriver is required.
Removing and Replacing the PDU
To remove the existing PDU and replace it with a new PDU, perform the following actions:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover.
See Figure 2-15 for more information.
Step 2 Power off the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
The switch is located in the right side of the cabinet.
Step 3 Disconnect all cables from the PDU.
Step 4 Remove two screws securing the PDU to the cabinet, one at the top of the PDU and one at the botom.
Step 5 Remove the PDU.

Step 6 Replace the PDU and secure with two screws.
Step 7 Reconnect all cables to the replacement PDU.
Step 8 Turn on the power to the system.
Step 9 Power on the system by turning the power switch on the PDU inside the cabinet to the "ON" position.
Step 10 Replace the cabinet cover.
