About This Guide
This section describes the intended audience, objectives, and organization of the Catalyst 1900 Series Installation and Configuration Guide and defines the conventions used to convey instructions and information. It also provides information about related documentation for this product and on accessing electronic Cisco documentation.
Audience
This guide is for the trained and qualified networking professional installing and maintaining the Catalyst 1900 series Ethernet switches, also referred to as the Catalyst 1900 switches. We assume that readers of this guide are familiar with the terminology and concepts of Ethernet and local area networking.
Purpose
This guide describes the features and specifications of the Catalyst 1900 switches and provides procedures and information about installation, start-up, web-based and menu-based standard software configuration, and troubleshooting.
Document Organization
The topics in this guide are organized as follows and reference the documents in the "Related Publications" section:

Cisco Connection Online (CCO) is Cisco Systems' primary, real-time support channel. Maintenance customers and partners can self-register on CCO to obtain additional information and services.
