out-of-service
Use this command to take a module out of service in software before removing the hardware from the chassis. This can be a supervisor module, an I/O module, or a fabric module.
out-of-service {module slot | xbar xbar-number}

module slot
Specifies an I/O module.
xbar xbar-number
Specifies a fabric module.

Usage Guidelines
Used only in the default virtual device context (VDC).
Safely removes a module from service in software. Before bringing a module back in service, you must remove the physical hardware module from the chassis and reinsert it.
This command does not require a license.
