This document provides release-specific information for each new and changed feature in the Cisco MDS NX-OS Release 4.x software. The Cisco MDS 9000 Family CLI Configuration Guide is updated to address each new and changed feature. The latest version of this document is available at the following Cisco Systems website:

Table 1-1 summarizes the new and changed features for the Cisco MDS NX-OS releases and tells you where they are documented. The table includes a brief description of each new feature and the release in which the change occurred.

Software change	As of Release 4.1(1b) and later, the MDS SAN-OS software is changed to MDS NX-OS software. The earlier releases are unchanged and all references are retained.	4.1(1b)	All chapters
Feature configuration commands	feature { cimserver | cluster | crypto | dpvm | fabric-binding | fcip | fcrxbbcredit | fcsp | ficon | iscsi | ivr | npiv | port-security | port-track | san-ext-tuner | scheduler | sdv | sme | ssh | tacacs+ | telnet } command replaces the existing enable commands.
