Release Notes for Cisco Video Surveillance High Definition IP Camera Release 1.1.0
July, 2010These release notes provide important information for the High Definition Cisco Video Surveillance IP camera release 1.1.0.
Cisco strongly recommends that, after upgrading to Cisco Video Surveillance Manager (VSM) 6.3, the firmware on existing Cisco high definition IP cameras be upgraded to release 1.1.0. In addition, this new IP camera firmware is required for any new high definition IP camera that you add and for any existing high definition IP camera on which you update configuration. VSM 6.3 contains the new camera firmware upgrade feature that simplifies and automates this process.

Introduction
Firmware release 1.1.0 includes features that extend the functionality of the following Cisco IP camera models:
•
CIVS-IPC-4300
•
CIVS-IPC-4500
What's New in this Release
Cisco Video Surveillance IP camera and IP dome firmware release 1.1.0 provides the following new features and functionality:
•
Multiple secondary frame rates are now supported for MJPEG. Table 1 shows the framerate combinations of primary (H.264) and secondary (MJPEG) streams. If a secondary frame rate that is not shown in this table is selected in Cisco Video Surveillance Manager, the IP camera uses the closest available frame rate.
•
Added a Camera Reset option in the IP camera web UI. This option erases all configuration information except the following:
–
Static IP address
–
Gateway IP address
–
User defined login credentials (user name and password)
•
Fixes for several caveats. For detailed information, see the "Caveats" section.
