About the 256-MB Memory Upgrade for the Cisco 3745 Router
Upgrading memory using your 256 MB memory card requires ROMMON version of 12.3(6r) or higher, and Cisco IOS Release 12.3(8)T or Cisco IOS Release 12.3(9) or later release.

Before installing 256-MB memory card, always review the release notes for system requirements and important issues. Release notes and software documentation are not shipped with Cisco 3700 series routers. All documentation is on Cisco.com.
