This chapter provides information about hardware that is compatible with the Cisco Transport Manager Equipment Module. Hardware includes the following items:

Chassis
The Cisco Transport Manager Equipment Module supports the Cisco ONS 15454 chassis.
Control Cards
The following tables outline the control cards that are supported on by the Cisco Transport Manager Equipment Module.

Time Communication and Control Card
Performs system initialization, provisioning, alarm reporting, maintenance, diagnostics, IP address detection/resolution, SONET DCC termination, and system fault detection for the ONS 15454.
XC
Cross Connect Card
Central element for ONS 15454 switching, establishes connections and performs time division switching (TDS) at the STS-1 level between ONS 15454 traffic cards.
XCVT
VT1.5 Cross Connect Card
Supports VT1.5 cross connect capability, allowing up to 336 bidirectional VT1.5s. VT1.5 signals can be cross connected, dropped, or rearranged.
AIC
Alarm Interface Controller Card
This card is not supported by this Equipment Module, however, presence of this card will not cause problems.
Electrical Interface Cards

OC48 IR 1310
Provides one intermediate range Telcordia compliant GR-253 SONET OC-48 interface operating at 1310 optical wavelength.
