Read Me First—LAN Management Solutions Bundle
The LAN Management Solutions (LMS) bundle provides applications for configuring, administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting a campus network. It enables network administrators to more effectively manage their LAN and campus networks.
You must install the software in this package on a system that meets specific requirements. You will need to configure client systems and some applications before use.
What the Bundle Contains
The LMS Bundle contains:

CiscoWorks2000 CD One Third Edition (CD One)—CiscoWorks2000 Server, CiscoView 5.2, and the Network Management Integration Module. The Network Management Integration Module provides support for third-party network management solutions.
•
Resource Management Essentials 3.2 (Essentials)—Web-enabled administration tool for simplifying the device software and configuration management of Cisco routers and switches.
•
Campus Manager 3.0 (Campus)—Web-enabled version of the CWSI Campus product, providing topology services and ATM, LANE, and VLAN utilities.
•
Campus Manager 3.0.1 (Voice Update)—A collection of updated packages for voice feature support, new device support, and bug fixes.
•
Content Flow Monitor 1.1 (CFM)—Web-based performance monitoring application for managing Cisco server load-balancing devices.
•
TrafficDirector 5.8.1—RMON-based reporting tool for network traffic analysis.
Note
In addition to the enclosed paper documents, PDF versions of product documentation are available on the product CDs. Refer to the installation instructions for individual products and print out the relevant documentation before proceeding with the installation.
Installation Prerequisites
The following tables summarize the minimum server and client requirements for installing the LMS bundle. The requirements listed are based on managing 500 devices, with all applications are hosted on a single server. For more information, refer to each component's installation guide.

Installing the Bundle
Note
You must install CD One before installing any other applications. While it is strongly recommended that you follow the order of installation described in this section, you can install the applications in any order.
Table 3 shows the recommended order in which you should install the software in this bundle.
