Uninstalling CWM Components


This chapter describes how to uninstall the various components that make up CWM.

To uninstall a CWM component, perform the following procedure.


Step 1 Stop the CWM core (and the Wandest core if it is installed).

Step 2 Change user to root.

Step 3 Navigate to /usr/users/svplus to uninstall the CWM Server, the SCMSA server, or the SNMP Agent
Navigate to /usr/users/wandest to uninstall Wandest server or client

The scripts stored at /usr/users/svplus are:

CWM Server UnInstallCWM.sh

SCMSA - UnInstallSCMSA.sh

SNMPAgent - UnInstallAgent.sh

RTM Proxy - UnInstallRTMProxy.sh

The scripts stored at /usr/users/wandest are:

Wandest Server - UnInstallWDClient.sh

Wandest Client - UnInstallWDServer.sh

Step 4 Execute the appropriate script, for example

./UnInstallSCMSA.sh

the following window displays.


Console Mode Option is recommended when you cannot connect to X Server 
 from current terminal ( See if you can open an xterm to check ! ) 


 Do you Want to Launch Uninstaller in Console Mode ? (Yes / No ): [No] :y

Step 5 Respond No then Enter to continue the uninstall using the Uninstallshield GUI.
Respond Yes then Enter to continue the uninstall using Console Mode Install.

Console Mode Install is a command line script procedure. It is an alternative to the GUI and is intended for users who do not have access to an X window device. Using Console Mode uninstall, the user can uninstall a CWM component using an alpha-numeric terminal or a PC in terminal emulator mode.
To uninstall in Console Mode, follow the instructions as they are displayed on the screen. See Chapter 3, "Installing CWM Server" for more details about Console Mode.

In Installshield GUI mode, the following screen is displayed.

Step 6 Click Next.

The following window is displayed.


Note The window shown here is for uninstalling the CWM Server, if other components are being uninstalled, the window is the same except for the components name.

Step 7 Click Next.

The following window is displayed.

The uninstall process begins.

When the uninstall is finished, the following window is displayed.

Click Finish to complete the process.


The above procedure must be repeated for each module to be uninstalled.


Note During the uninstallation process, some warning messages such as "Unable to delete locked files /usr/users/svplus/..." may be displayed on the console. Such messages can be ignored.
