Naming Conventions
For consistency purposes, this document refers to Cisco CallManager products as Cisco Unified Communications Manager products. For a list of the official Cisco product names, see the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Software Compatibility Matrix on Cisco.com.
Software Supported by Operations Manager 2.2
The following is a list of the software supported by and interoperable with Cisco Unified Operations Manager 2.2. If required, ensure these versions are installed before installing or upgrading Operations Manager 2.2 unless otherwise noted:
CautionIf you install updated Cisco software before upgrading to Operations Manager, ensure you choose the same directory that the software resided so that no issues occur.
•
Cisco Unified Service Monitor 2.2
•
Cisco Unified Provisioning Manager 1.3.1
•
Cisco Unified Service Statistics Manager 1.2 (upgrade after installing Operations Manager)
•
CiscoWorks (LMS 2.6) and Common Services 3.2
•
Cisco Secure Access Control Server (ACS) 3.2, 3.2.3, 3.3.2, 4.0, 4.2
•
Cisco Device Fault Manager 3.1
Ensure you use these versions if you are configuring the Device and Credentials Repository (DCR) master and slave mode.
Note
DCR master and slave mode supports the DCR master with any LMS provided that the Common Services version is equivalent to, or higher than, the Operations Manager slave Common Services version.
•
McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise 8.0
•
VMWare ESX 3.5
The following software applications are required for Cisco Unified Operations Manager 2.2:
•
Adobe Flash Player 7.0, 8.0, or 9.0.
•
One of the following:
–
Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack (SP) 1 or SP 2, Standard and Enterprise Editions.
–
Windows Server 2003 R2.
•
ODBC Driver Manager 3.5.10 or later.
To verify the version of ODBC Driver Manager, from the Windows desktop, select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC). Select the About tab. If necessary, install Microsoft Data Access Component (MDAC) 2.5 or later.
For additional information on server or client requirements for Operations Manager, see the Installation Guide for Cisco Unified Operations Manager 2.2.
Coresident Guidelines
For information on coresident guidelines, see the Installation Guide for Cisco Unified Operations Manager on Cisco.com.
Devices Supported by Cisco Unified Operations Manager 2.2
Note
Node-to-node tests and synthetic tests are supported on specific devices. The devices that can run these tests are specified in the applicable tables.
When you install Cisco Unified Operations Manager 2.2, you also install device support for all of the devices listed in this document.
Keep these points in mind when you view the device support tables:
•
The devices listed in this document may be categorized differently in the Operations Manager display.
•
This list contains the Cisco model names of all devices that are supported by Operations Manager. Variants to the generic device (device model names that have unique extensions) are not supported unless they are specifically listed. The device support tables provide SysObjectIDs to help you verify which devices are supported.
•
Operations Manager does not support switch clusters. A switch cluster is a group of switches that comprises a master switch and slave switches. This relationship allows NMSs to query the master switch for information about the slave switches.
•
Operations Manager Service Level View does not support multiple Cisco Unified System Contact Center Enterprise (SCCE) deployments.
The MIB features detailed in Table 1 are not supported in the device models mentioned due to lack of device MIB support and therefore will not display in Operations Manager.

1 "Partial support" indicates that Operations Manager will manage the device but might not report all device attributes because (1) the device operating system does not support one or more of the MIBs polled by Operations Manager, and/or (2) the device MIB contains information that is not correctly populated.
2 T1/E1 ports do not generate an event when the ports are up but not connected. To fix this problem, the Catalyst operating system must be upgraded to version 5.5(8) or later or to version 6.2(3) or later.
3 When a Catalyst 6000 switch is running software version 6.1(1) or 6.1(2), Operations Manager does not recognize the WS-X6348-RJ-45 cards as Inline Power Cards. You can fix this problem by upgrading the Catalyst 6000 NMP card software to version 6.1(3).
4 For supported interfaces and modules, see Table 5.
5 Node-to-node tests are supported on Cisco Catalyst 6000 Switches running Cisco IOS.
6 Operations Manager supports Catalyst 4000/4500 Supervisor Engine IV (WS-X4515 or WS-X4515/2) on the 4006, 4503, 4506, and 4507. Operations Manager supports Catalyst 4000/4500 Supervisor Engine III (WS-X4014) on the C4503, C4506, and 4006. Operations Manager supports the Catalyst 4000/4500 Supervisor Engine II (WS-X4013) on the 4503 and 4506.
7 Node-to-node tests are supported on Cisco Catalyst 4000 Switches running Cisco IOS.
8 On the Cisco Catalyst 4006, Operations Manager supports Supervisor Engines III (WS-X4014) and IV (WS-X4515) running Cisco IOS.

2 Supported as IP infrastructure devices and as IP telephony devices.
3 Release 1.2(1) is the minimum supported version of Cisco DPA. However, the following problems that exist in release 1.2(1) are resolved as follows. When the Cisco DPA is configured in hybrid mode, it does not report the status of the PBX port; this problem is fixed in Cisco DPA Release 1.2(1.4). The CPU utilization value shown for the DPA is not correct; this problem is fixed in Cisco DPA Release 1.2(1.8).
4 Releases 1.1(2.1.5) and 1.2(1) are the minimum supported versions for VG248.
5 Supported as IP telephony devices.
6 The minimum Cisco ISO version is 12.4(22)YB.
7 The supported versions for Cisco Unified Communications Manager include the maintenance releases for the supported versions listed.
8 The Nokia Dual Mode IP Phone is only supported in Operations Manager when it is configured as a Cisco 7960 IP Phone.

1 Supported as IP infrastructure devices.
2 Operations Manager will manage the device but might not report all device attributes because (1) the device operating system does not support one or more of the MIBs polled by Operations Manager, and/or (2) the device MIB contains information that is not correctly populated.
3 Operations Manager supports the AP340 and AP350 running VxWorks. (Operations Manager also supports the AP350 running IOS.)

1 The IBM Director server agent must be installed on your media convergence server in order for the hardware attributes to be monitored by Operations Manager. A hardware component without its redundant instance is not monitored. For example, the power supply component is not monitored unless its redundant instance exists. For information on the few IBM hardware attributes that may not be monitored, see the latest release notes on Cisco.com.
