March 7, 2007

Added information about how to best restart the CTM server when your network contains a high number of NEs.

K.3.4  How Do I Restart the CTM Server When the Network Contains Many NEs?, page K-6

March 14, 2007

Enhanced the definition of the CTM GateWay/TL1 Poll Frequency parameter. The poll cycle ensures that TL1 connectivity to the managed nodes works correctly. A failure in the polling for a given node implies that all of the commands directed to that node receive a "Gateway Not Ready" error code. This condition persists until the first successful polling cycle on that NE.

12.2.2.2  Using the GateWay/TL1 Service Pane, page 12-14

March 21, 2007

Revised descriptions of the following fields in the Control Panel > Logging Properties pane:

CTM Server

Enable Initialization Log

Log to Database

9.6.1  Setting Up Error Logs, page 9-59

April 2, 2007

Noted that ONS 15216 EDFA3 NEs support only a single TL1 session for each username. When setting up the CTM GateWay/TL1 username, you must make sure that the username you choose is not already in use.

8.4.4.4  Adding an NE User, page 8-57

12.2.2.1.1  Setting the CTM GateWay/TL1 Username and Password from the Control Panel, page 12-13

12.2.2.1.2  Setting the CTM GateWay/TL1 Username and Password from the Domain Explorer, page 12-14
